Identify legislators at the state and national level who represent the district in which the student resides. The student should be able to identify bills that are currently being sponsored or supported by the legislators by using his/her official website. Utilizing the Legislator Information obtained on page 1 of this assignment, the student will then be expected to write a professional letter to ONE legislator discussing the importance of one of his/her health-related bill/issue to nursing and your position on the topic either supporting or opposing the bill in question.
A copy of your legislator information form must be submitted along with your letter.
A signed copy of the letter (prior to mailing) must be submitted to the instructor for grading. A screenshot of or a printed copy of an email is also acceptable.
