The professor wants us to use language like plaintiff and defendant to discuss the matter and relate it to things we have learned in class. We have been reading the textbook: law for business, McGraw-hill edition.
The professor wants it in IRAC organization.
I is issue: define the issue or event
R is rule: define the theory that is involved in the case such as negligence, breach of contract or defamation
A is analysis: to explain and define each part of the theory. Example like
What parts of negligence there are and go into greater detail about it. Or if it is a contract discuss how the contract was valid first then talk about how there was a breach if there was one.
C is conclusion: make your decision on who you think wins, your final opinion.
This again can include things like: negligence, contract, breach of duty, etc
