Prepare a 2-3 page descriiption of your selected theme or topic:  Identify the theme or topic for the integrated mini-unit.  Identify the content areas that will be addressed within the integrated mini-unit.  Describe how the theme or topic connects to the state and/or county curriculum standards.  Describe how the theme or topic develops/supports the interests of the students in your placement.  Explain how the experiences of children and families will support teaching and learning.  Identify the resources that exist (at school and digitally) to support the teaching and learning of this theme or topic.  Describe how the community resources will be used to complement/extend teaching and learning. .

 Describe how the development of the theme or topic will support the social, emotional, physical, and intellectual development of the students. As a part of the planning process, consider the order/sequence of the learning experiences within the integrated mini-unit and how each connects to various frameworks of curriculum. Consider the introduction, development, and closure of the mini-unit. To illustrate this planning, prepare a table that lists each of the learning experiences, connections to DAP manual, relevant content standards, the multiple intelligences 7 engaged in each experience, the connections to both cognitive and affective learning domains, the student grouping for each, and the connections to theory. This should be planned and implemented individually. It is not a collaborative project.
