PART I: Narrative Essay (700-1000 Words)
Present as a story (prose/narrative).
Provide information about your interviewee’s context of – (for example, but not limited to):
Emigration: family background and situation before leaving country; left with whom; age left; why left
Migration: how he/she left; his/her experience of migration
Immigration/Settlement: how he/she/they arrived – visa type or policy; how he/she/they adapted economically, linguistically, socially, culturally, politically, occupationally, educationally in the first few years
Identify people, institutions, organizations, ethnic community who helped in his/her/their adaptation process
Provide current information about your interviewee: how he/she/they adapted since first arrival; identity, nationality, and outlook
