What is the relationship between theology and religious studies?
The Final Paper should reflect the skills and information students have learned in this course. Some of the themes to be discussed are very broad. The students will be expected to show that they know how to use proper biblical research tools in the work that they do. They will be judged on their grasp of broad concepts rather than on the ability to be exhaustive. Submit one paper with three sections. Each part should be three or four double-spaced pages in length. Respond to the following:
1. Word Study: Do a word study of the biblical usage and meaning of the word “Atonement” (in Rom 3:25, NIV) 2. Discourse Analysis: Using Romans 3, 4 and 5, analyze the paragraphs to show the development of the argument Paul uses in this segment of Romans. 3. The Practice of Application—Using Romans 6:1-14, use the “bridge” concept to draw practical applications from this chapter
