What you need to do is choose a piece of media – for example, any song, album, film, television program, advertisement, novel, comic book etc. – and write a paper which analyzes this chosen cultural media artifact using your choice of a single sociological theory (Structural Functionalism, Social Conflict, or Symbolic Interactionism) and draws heavily and specifically upon your chosen theory’s according thinkers, concepts, terminology discussed in class and in your textbook.
