Each student will critically review a peer-reviewed (refereed) journal article on a policy issue in homeland security or emergency management . The review should be three (3) pages typed, double-spaced (about 750 words).
You must:
Clearly introduce the article’s title, author, and source information (i.e., journal name, publication date, volume, pages, URL).
Introduce and discuss the article’s topic.
Summarize and discuss the major theory or theme(s) of the article as it relates to homeland security or emergency management policy.
Did the author conduct research? If so, what was the research question and methodology?
Discuss the author’s arguments/points of view.
What were the author’s Findings/conclusions/major issues?
What is the article’s implications for homeland security or emergency management policy?
Discuss what you learned from the article.
Critique the value of the information in the article in terms of how it can (or cannot) be applied to the field.
