Gather a group of colleagues in your work setting and conduct a self assessment using the QSEN and the Essential Competencies for Evidence Based Practice in Nursing (ECEBP). Be specific. What were areas of strength? What were areas of weakness or gaps? Were your peers familiar with these competencies? Did your colleagues feel empowered to bring evidence based practices forward in your clinical setting? How will you apply what you learned into your advanced practice role going forward?
