You will conduct a vulnerability scan on his computer/network using the Nessus vulnerability scanner.

Please do not scan any unauthorized networks. The student will scan a sample personal computer/network to demonstrate a vulnerability assessment. The student should scan his/her own home computer(s)/or network. The student will prepare a vulnerability scan report to present the discovered vulnerabilities.
Your vulnerability lab report, in 3-5 pages not including citation or cover page of APA formatted, should be a deliverable Vulnerability report to your client who will learn about their computer/network vulnerabilities to prepare for mitigation action plans. While you are free create a vulnerability scan report to best present your findings to your clients, you will, at a minimum, include the following sections.
Executive Summary
Vulnerability Findings/Results
Vulnerability Scan Procedures conducted to find the vulnerabilities
Vulnerability Analysis on your findings
A list of recommendations to mitigate these discovered vulnerabilities
A list of references for in-text citations
