Purpose of Assignment: Students will need to learn to access current and relevant resources to inform practice in the residential care setting. Students also need to communicate their research findings through effective teaching.
Course Learning Outcomes: This assignment corresponds with the following course learning outcomes:
1. Describe self-reflection techniques in a professional setting to facilitate lifelong learning.
2. Choose effective communication skills to present ideas clearly.
6. Demonstrate complete and focused health assessments relevant to chronic health challenges using primary and secondary sources of data.
8. Interpret policies, procedures, and responsibilities to maintain and promote the safety of clients within a residential care setting
9. The Group Teaching Presentation is divided into three sections. The first is the Teaching Plan & lesson plan, the second part is your actual Group Presentation and the last is an Individual Reflective Paper (part three has its own rubric). A complete instruction sheet is attached.
