Next, give an example of how we can use language to persuade and/ or manipulate. This can be an example from recent news events, movies, books, your life, etc. 4) Opposing Viewpoints: select a controversial issue, write a paragraph for and against the issue. Include evidence from one source (article, video, etc). 5) What is a confirmation bias? Give an example of a confirmation bias from recent news stories. Explain why you think the speaker engaged in a confirmation bias.
