Who has power in this arena? How is it manifest? Please consider the readings discussed in class as well as the role of science and money as controlled by those in power. (15 points)

Deliverable 2: Final Assessment – Advocacy Communication
Advocacy Communication is critical for the support and implementation of key policy initiatives. It includes a transfer of key messages in simple and understandable language and spreads awareness of key issues. There are several techniques to communicate the key messages, which include but are not limited to media campaigns including infographics, video shorts, celebrity interviews, community partnership promotions, newspaper columns, brochures, television commercials, billboards, twitter messaging etc.

Get creative and create an advocacy media communication of your choosing for the problem/policy that you described in your policy memo. Your audience for this deliverable should be the population-at-risk/target population that you have focused on for your individual policy memo. Depending on what would be most appropriate and accessible for your intended audience, your final deliverable may take any of the aforementioned forms; for example, but not limited to, an infographic, tik-tok, brochure, etc. Note: If you want to make an infographic, go for it! A brochure, why not? A tik-tok video, for sure! A celebrity campaign similar to the real life examples, sure feel free to act it out as that celebrity and make a video! The point is to effectively communicate your problem to your population at risk.

Deliverable 3: Presentation
You are to present your project to the class in a 5-min presentation that will be followed by 3-minutes of Q&A. In your presentation, please share your:
Problem (what, who, where)
Policy choice
Plan of action which should include a short analysis of stakeholder alignment.

In addition to presenting, you will be the primary observer for a classmate’s presentation the other week. It is expected that you will have words of advice for your classmate in response to their presentation. All presentations (PPT itself) should be posted to bCourses by 10:00 am on April 26. Sign up for presentation and observation slots will occur via bCourses beginning April 19th.
