Key Questions and Considerations for Organizational Change Analysis –
1. What encompasses the organizational change and what are the major considerations, risks and priorities for successful acquisition, integration and performance of the combined organization?
2. Complete an analysis of the change process based in theories we have discussed (ex. Lewin’s change model, Kotter’s steps for change, etc.) and propose actions and strategies that the organization should do to make the changes successful.
3. What major changes must the combined organization make to succeed? How should they plan and approach each of the key material changes?
4. Identify and make recommendations for the leadership team to overcome resistance and positively shape the culture of the combined organization. What is critical for long-term success?
5. How does the organization structure and span of control support or constrain your recommendations? Are there organizational design changes that should be considered? Why?
6. Lastly, what should and can the President do to unify the combined organization, align his team, gain the trust of his employees, and set and reinforce (new) values, discipline and changes he has committed the Buyer?
7. Are there any other considerations, opportunities or challenges the organization should prioritize and/or address to attain and fulfill the expectations for the acquired Company?
