we looked at sexuality as an integral part of life and self-expression and explored the idea that by controlling women’s sexuality, women’s lives and sense of self can be controlled. For Essay, we will need to go to a local card shop (or the card section of Target or the like). Browse through the cards in the “love,” “romance,” “marriage,” or “anniversary” sections. What are their messages about relationships, love, intimacy, and sex? How do cards targeted toward different genders vary? Based on your observations, what can you say about the links between women’s bodies, sexuality, and gender equality? Use the readings from class (Module 3) to support your analysis.
Remember that the purpose of this essay is for me to assess that you are doing the readings, understanding the readings, and can apply the readings. Your paper should be 1000 words in length, typed, double-spaced, proofread, and include a bibliography.
