Research and analyze the arguments and worldview of an indifferent or resistant stakeholder or
stakeholder group in order to propose effective approaches for persuading them in the next essay.
Project Description: You will choose a stakeholder from the conversation in Project 1 who is currently
indifferent or resistant to your idea or position—but is also persuadable. You must then conduct
additional research and create a profile of this stakeholder by demonstrating a deep understanding of their
arguments, values, and worldview and the arguments that have been made to them.
Drawing on this profile, you will create a proposal explaining how you will effectively tailor your
argument to persuade your stakeholder in Project 3. This proposal should address the following questions:
How will you use stasis theory to inform your argument? Which values and beliefs will you emphasize?
Which arguments have already been made to this stakeholder, how were they ineffective, and how will
you avoid them in your argument? What evidence will you select to persuade your stakeholder and how
will you incorporate it?
Requirements: A successful essay will:
● Analyze the specific perspectives, arguments, and worldview of the selected stakeholder
● Propose strategies for how to write a persuasive essay to the selected stakeholder
● Be structured in a manner that appropriately utilizes your research
● Incorporate 3-5 sources to support your analysis
● Cite all sources in MLA style to avoid plagiarism
● Be 1250-1550 words in length
● Be clear, carefully edited, and effectively organized
