Scenario
The South Florida area is in the middle of a hurricane and continuing severe weather is causing widespread damage. There are multiple effects that this storm is causing in our community. Vehicle movement is constrained, and multiple people are stranded and in need of assistance. There is a wide range of limiting impacts on communications and power, and some structures are impacted. The Emergency Operations Center is receiving information from 911 operators who are receiving conflicting reports about several life-safety needs, including some weather-related injuries and an unverified report of the partial structural collapse of an apartment complex and power outages of several assisted living facilities.The purpose of this activity is to discuss the benefits of ICS.
