Your parents
Your school
Your peers
The media
Sex/Sexuality (Criterion#1):(this criterion should take approximately 3-4 paragraphs to address)

What were the common themes or similar messages about sex that you received from these sources? Clearly identify any commonalities in sex information across social groups. If there were no common trends, clearly address why the information may have differed.

Connecting to Research (Criterion#3): (this criterion should take approximately 1-2 paragraphs to address)
Briefly describe and explain Else-Quest and Hyde’s (2022) position on sexual development and gender differences in sexuality. Do you agree or disagree with their explanation and the research? Why or why not?
Integrate and support your discussion with a comparison of your experiences and the research and conclusions discussed in Chapter 12 of the text. Do not just copy from the textbook. You are being asked to explain and discuss this information. Thus, you need to use your critical thinking skills and logic to make connections, compare, and contrast your own experiences with the research discussed in the textbook.
Briefly discuss and explain the terms “heterosexism” and “heteronormality” (Else-Quest & Hyde, 2022, p. 309). Did any of your sources of information about sexual orientation align or match with these terms? Why or why not?
Integrate and support your discussion with a comparison of your experiences and the research and conclusions discussed in Chapter 13 of the text. Do not just copy from the textbook. You are being asked to explain and discuss this information. Thus, you need to use your critical thinking skills and logic to make connections, compare, and contrast your own experiences with the research discussed in the textbook.
