Critical Review of Literature CLO#2,3,5,6
Each student will find a peer-reviewed journal article in a business ethics journal and critically review it. This critical review should include
• Introductory paragraph, including
o statement of thesis: agreement/disagreement w/the author, general evaluation of the article [positive/negative mixed
o purpose for writing the paper
o author and title of the article
o brief discussion of the topic and purpose of the article and its importance or relevance in the context of business and business ethics
o information on the author and her/his credentials and qualifications.
• The body
o Summary: First, provide a summary of the author’s argument, identifying conclusion, premises, and central concepts. This summary should be no more than one third of the body.
o Analysis: Identify moral concepts, values, and theories explicitly or implicitly appealed to in the construction of the author’s argument.
o Critique: Discuss in detail what you perceive as the strengths and weaknesses of the article. Identify any important points or ideas that you think the author leaves out.
• Conclusion
o Restate your thesis and general evaluation of the article and the general points raised in the essay supporting that judgment.
o Include any recommendations for further research in this area.
• References
o References should of course include the critiqued article and any other sources utilized, including our textbook, preferably according to the APA Manual of Style.

Clarity & accuracy of article summary 20 pts
Accurate use of theoretical concepts and terminology 25 pts
Depth and accuracy of analysis and evaluation 25 pts
Quality of writing: sentence structure, grammar, usage, punctuation 15 pts
Consistent adherence documentation style 15 pts
Total 100 pts.
