Pick a current media example (news story, media example, film, advertising campaign, social advocacy campaign, television program, video game, etc.) that was created/produced within the past 5 years. Using the readings and topics we have covered in the course, how does this media example reflect theoretical understanding of media, identity, and politics? What is the significance of this example for thinking about the intersections of media, identity, and politics? What ideologies or cultural formations are reproduced? What counter-ideologies or oppositional ideologies are visible? What dominant cultural formations are naturalized? What identities or perspectives are minimized or obscured in your example? These are questions for helping you approach how to analyze your media example to construct your thesis.Pick a current media example (news story, media example, film, advertising campaign, social advocacy campaign, television program, video game, etc.) that was created/produced within the past 5 years.
