You should have a central idea or hypothesis, and utilize materials to support your idea or hypothesis. Do not simply regurgitate the available literature; rather, you should strive to add, propose, or speculate something unique and novel regarding your approved topic.
Term papers should be 8 to 12 pages with 1-inch margins, doubled-spaced, using 12-point Times New Roman font. Please follow APA style, including a title page, running headers, and a reference section. The title page and reference section do not count towards the 8 to 12 pages. Not following APA style will result in point deductions.
When writing your term paper and citing sources, you should draw upon not only the textbooks from this course, but also peer-reviewed materials, such as academic journals. The UNR library provides you with online access to a great deal of peer-reviewed materials. I strongly encourage you to utilize this resource.
