An worker/social justice arts proposal: a proposal based on the class readings (and other course lectures and articles) that integrate an artist project that you would like to develop and execute. Your worker/social justice, arts proposal should focus on an arts education program, a public art installation, or another type of arts project that you would like to get funded that will lift up and honor the voices, experiences and artistic expression of working-class people.

Your proposal should include the following:
1. Title and Type of Project you are proposing
2. A detailed project description- 3-4 paragraphs describing the type of project you would like to get funded and why (use outside literature, sources, inspirations, neighborhood rationale, audience and need for your project)
3.. Total amount you are proposing for the project (start with $1,000 just as an exercise, you can ask for more but don’t get stuck here. )
4. Other Funding source you envision leveraging or partners and in kind resource you will receive
5. Project Goals: What do you plan to accomplish and who will be served by the project? At least 3 goals and expanded audience description (1-2 pages)
6. Project Statement and Rationale- 2-3 pages- this is section where you develop an in-depth rationale about your project.
Here you give talk about past work, the history of community/art making, the problem you see as being addressed through this project and what needs will be fulfilled by executing a project like this. You want to describe your audience and how this project will impact them, the message of your project, the project objectives you will achieve, the medium or space you will use, collaborators, community partners, reasons for to substantiate the investment, community impact etc.
7. Describe all the materials needed to execute the project
8. Supporting documents to substantiate need, photographs, maps of the neighborhood, charts, data etc. to make strong argument to fund this project proposal.
