Write an essay that contrasts typical American birth practices with those of another culture. You should show some of the similarities and differences and explain which practices are influenced by the biological event of birth, and which are influenced by culture. In your post, describe some of the implications of these birth practices–how might they affect the parents? The child? Other things, perhaps?

For this paper, you need to go beyond just describing a childbirth practice. A thoughtful discussion of the implications of this process is required (see above).
