Complete the following:
1. Provide a brief summary of each theme and an example of content that you would teach at a
specific grade level.
2. Explain how you would connect that specific social studies theme with one of the four social sciences:
history, geography, civics and government (political science) and economics. Also, consider sociology,
anthropology, and psychology, as well as the humanities philosophy, ethics, literature, religion, music,
and the visual arts. Specify the theme(s) and related areas.
3. Align your content design with a Social Studies Grade 4-8, Competencies for Teachers.
