1.) What kind of government is your idea Texas government in terms of form? Why did you decide to pick the form of government you chose?
2.) Since your government is mandated to have a constitution of some kind, what are two core fundamental principals enshrined in it? Explain why you chose the two that you did.
3.) Since your new Texas state government has to still be part of the greater US, what does that federalist relationship look like? Does your new Texas have a lot of autonomy as a state? A little? Something else? Explain your decision.
4.) What are two core civil liberties your ideal state government prides itself on? Why? Is this something manifested by the political culture?
As you answer these four questions, you are to reflect on how our current Texas state government exhibits these characteristics, critique them, and use them as a roadmap to either strengthen, re-vamp, or abolish them with creating your ideal version.
