▪ Describe how your organizational design is structured (providing a defensible rationale, WHY). This should be done so both in a chart and in a written narrative. An individual that is new to your organization should be able to clearly understand reporting guidelines of each staff member after reviewing this material.
▪ Is the organizational chart you designed top down or bottom up? Provide the rational for you decisions about structure.
▪ Designate specific job titles and identify reporting lines (superiors/subordinates). The organizational chart MUST match the employee job descriptions outlined in Part 6 of the Human Services Web Portfolio. Please do not forget to hire a Human Services Professional!
▪ Describe the rationale for the structure of reporting lines (THE REASON THAT PERSON A REPORTS TO PERSON B). Why are these reporting lines the best choice for your organization given its mission?
▪ Include yourself as one of the full time employees. Give yourself a job title and assign a title to all other positions.
▪ Make sure you have staff that will oversee volunteer actions clearly labeled on your organizational chart. In an upcoming section of this project, you will address how your group plans to manage these volunteers, write a volunteer job description, and construct a volunteer application.
