readings and consider what parts of the Witherspoon reading are consistent with the text book and the Taylor article. Explicitly
provide an overview of how the text and Taylor article backs
some of the assumptions made by Witherspoon. Of course you will be focusing mostly on recruitment, race, education, and politics.
Now imagine you are police chief in a local Missouri community
with a very diverse population. In your attempts to recruit the best officers, based on what you have learned from the readings, which of the three organizational theories, from chapter 4 in the text,
would you look to organize and operate your recruitment efforts
under and why. This of course will require you to closely re-analyze Contingency, Institutional, and Resource Dependency Theories. There is no required word count, but you should provide appropriate citations when relevant. Try to remember to provide headings
