Write a thesis statement proving that a sonnet structure develops an author’s creativity and/or profound
message. Then, examine HOW the author is able to establish this central idea or profound message
about a particular topic (consider different qualities of the sonnet structure that lend itself to this
argument, such as the octave/sestet or quatrain/couplet model; iambic pentameter; use of
metaphors/figurative language; rhyme scheme; etc.).
