In this assignment, you will 1) select a women’s health topic – coronary artery disease,
2) develop an academic poster. Research your topic with five academic resources organizing the main points to create an informative and engaging poster that might be displayed at a public health event. Create the poster using the PowerPoint template provided.
When developing your poster, consider how to use written communication that will increase knowledge, foster understanding, or promote change in the listeners’ attitudes, values, beliefs, or behaviors.
1. Download the PowerPoint poster template: Public Health Disease Poster Template. Review the types of information you need to report on.
Select your topic.
2. Select a women’s health disease or condition covered in this course – Coronary Artery Disease
3. Research your topic. Conduct academic research on your topic using the UTA Library. Identify 5 sources of information that address the prompts in the PowerPoint template. Sources should be peer-reviewed journal articles, textbooks, or reputable websites (CDC, WHO, NIH, etc.). Do not cite Wikipedia, news articles, blogs, etc.
4. Create your poster. Address the prompts in each section thoroughly while being concise to account for spacing. You may use images, graphs, or tables to summarize your information. These should be used effectively and sparingly.
5. Format your references. Reference any materials that you use in your reference list in APA format (Link)
6. Submit your poster. Save your work as an MS PowerPoint document only and upload it
