Understanding how competent verbal and nonverbal communication theories affect relationships gives you tools for developing and maintaining more satisfactory relationships.
In this assignment, you will apply two to four theories of interpersonal communication to a particular relationship dynamic or situation. This relationship situation can be personal or based on a relationship featured in a movie or a television show:
Describe the relationship situation from each person’s point of view.
Discuss the relationship’s stage and how this stage has affected the relationship situation.
Choose two to four interpersonal communication theories that can be applied to this situation and discuss the research foundation for each theory.
Discuss how each of these theories is applicable for managing the situation more effectively.
