Purpose
This assignment is designed to assess the following course competencies: CC1, CC2, CC3
The visual system is by far the most well-studied of all our sensory systems. The poor gustatory system gets the shaft in the research world! The visual system is fascinating from the seemingly backwards layout of cells in the retina to the amount of processing in the visual stream that has to take images on the retina and turn them right side up, process overlapping images from the 2 eyes, determine color and motion, and figure out what and where things are. Our visual system does all these things for us (and more)! The purpose of this assignment is to explore online content discussing the visual system from various sources and to summarize a concept of the visual system in your own words.
