This essay is about persuasive consequentialist argument in favor of the existence of a moral obligation to donate to charity.
Somehow argue that either act or rule utilitarianism entails an obligation to give to charity (in such-and-such a way, or to charities that meet these criteria…etc.)
so basically what you have to do is first Pick a form of utilitarianism that you think could give a good argument that we should donate to charity
Explain that form of utilitarianism
Explain how it would argue that we should donate to charity (be specific)
Rule utilitarianism or act utilitarianism (or effective altruism but act and rule are better) (Argument)
Then give a best objection to the argument (Either denies or accept and says why it would still be better) (Counter argument)
After give a response to the objection (Rebuttal)
