Summarize the views on virtue of the three philosophers: Plato, Aristotle, and Aquinas. In other words, for each of these philosophers, answer the following questions: What is virtue? If virtue has any parts, what are those parts? If there is any important background information for their theory of virtue, discuss that too. Next, for each philosopher, discuss why should a person choose to be virtuous? Also, for each philosopher, how does virtue relate to happiness? Finally, discuss any strengths and/or weaknesses of their views.
I have provided notes from lectures and readings. You should NOT use any other outside sources and no in-text citations nor a bibliography/Works Cited/Reference page are needed. You should use the content in the notes to guide your answer (but you should not cite directly from them) Please use only the provided documents to form the summary and answer the above questions.
