We have spent the last four weeks discussing the amazing brain changes that happen prenatally and during the first two years of life. We have discussed extensively how important these early experiences are to later cognitive and emotional development in life. Discuss how this can be the case when we have few if any conscious memories from the first 3 years of life. Remember to think about how these experiences lay the foundational blueprint on which other experiences build. Incorporate key ideas such as experience expectant and dependent brain development along with specific theories. This is not an opinion piece. You must support your writing with concepts learned in class.
