the literature review section of your final research proposal. You will need to submit this list to
me (in reference list form using APA Style) for approval by March 2, 2022.
The purpose of this assignment is to demonstrate your ability to define a research problem, create
an appropriate set of research question(s) and a research design that correspond to the problem,
and propose methods of investigating those questions in a scholarly and sophisticated fashion.
You are not being asked to undertake an original research project. Your task is to simply create
a fully developed research proposal that will succinctly state a research question, provide a
thorough review of relevant literature that addresses the topic of interest, and present a plan for
investigating the stated research question(s). The research problem (the foundation and
inspiration for the research question) should be rooted in an actual health care or public
organization (public or nonprofit). At its core, this research proposal will demonstrate your
understanding and ability apply the fundamental concepts of research methods discussed in this
course. The total length of this paper should be 15 pages of text (double spaced, 12-point font, 1
inch margins all around), and should contain the following:
Introduction (overview of the topic; research problem and research question(s); short
discussion of the importance of the topic)
Review of pertinent literature (10 to 15 sources, including at least five (5) scholarly,
peer-reviewed articles which can be obtained from google scholar)
Research methods and data collection (overview of the research design, choice of
research subjects, data collection procedure and instrument, and plan for data analysis)
Conclusion (including limitations of the paper and ethical considerations/use of human
subjects [if applicable])
