In order to write this essay, you will have already explored “Origin,” “Childhood/Home,” “Leaving Home, Future Dwelling, & Travel” in your journal.
In preparation for writing the essay, go back through your journal and read everything you have written. Ask yourself, “What have I learned about myself from responding to these questions in my journal?” Then ask yourself, “What aspects of what I have learned would I like to share with a reader?” Then, write an autobiographical essay in which you share anything you would like to regarding your: origins, childhood, home, the experience of leaving home, your possible future dwelling, and travel. You do not have to write about all 6 of these topics. Be selective about what you share. Don’t try to include everything, only what is most important.
