Williams (2017) states diversity means variety and exists when there is a variety of demographic, cultural, and personal differences among the people who work within an organization. Although laws have been passed guaranteeing equal opportunity for all individuals in the work place, issues regarding employment discrimination and unfair treatment still exist, resulting in lawsuits.
