For this assignment please write 350-500 words discussing (A) what norms Dahmer violated, (B) what motivated him, (C) what 2 theories might best explain his actions, and (D) whether the classical school could have conceived of and/or prevented a crime like this. Bonus points if you can discuss how general and specific deterrence were effected by this case. For instance, Dahmer was incarcerated, which is specific deterrence. Was there other examples of how specific deterrence was applied in this case? Or how general deterrence was applied here to prevent this type of crime from ever happening again?
