The purpose of this assignment is for you to analytically consider two project papers on project management (two from the three project management journals, or one from the three project management journals and another from a journal of your discipline). You will contrast and compare the main themes, arguments, theoretical foundations (if specified), theoretical claims or empirical findings, and conclusions in these papers from a project management fundamentals perspective related to themes in this course. Your paper should, as a minimum, clearly discuss:
Identify central problem(s) or issue(s) in the two readings
Provide a concise discussion of how the authors in the two documents consider the problem(s) or issue(s) in similar or different ways
Consider if the problem(s) or issue(s) appear to require further research or consideration; if so, in what ways, if not, why not
Discuss why the similarities or differences are relevant to course themes, perspectives, and/or issues
Please follow APA 7th style conventions for your paper and for your references/citations. Your essay-based paper should be approximately 1500 words in length, excluding references and appendixes. As a guide, you’re expected to reference about 10-20 relevant, primary sources of information including peer reviewed, to support your arguments; see Understanding what information you need.
When conducting your contrasting and comparing of the papers, you’ll be expected to establish structural alignment, read chapter 11: Analogical Reasoning by Gentner & Maravilla.
