In this assignment, you are asked to design a hypothetical distance education course plan or “blueprint” for a distance education-learning context. The course plan you
develop should demonstrate your theoretical and applied knowledge of distance
education, your awareness and consideration of the context in which your DE learning
course will be delivered would take place, and your ability to apply appropriate planning
approaches to concrete distance educational challenges. Note that you are designing a
plan and not developing the course entire content, media, etc. What you ultimately
develop should stand alone as a “blueprint” whereby an individual and/or institution could
take your plan and then, considering everything outlined and explicated, be able to
develop and deliver the course as designed and outlined. Another way to conceive of the
exercise is that of a formal proposal for a DE course design, one that could be submitted
for request for development funding from an agency.
Your final project is a course plan (not the actual development of a course) should be
submitted as a paper of between 4000 to 6000 words (excluding references) in length;
other media can be included as you deem necessary and the paper should follow APA
