Describe your experience in reading the Bible.
When did you start? Why did you start?
How has your understanding of the Bible changed over time?
What have been the hardest parts to read? What have been the easiest parts to read?
Why are some parts harder/easier than others?
NOTE: If you have never picked up a bible before this course, discuss that issue as well.
Everyone’s background and faith journey is different. It’s fine to approach this assignment in a way that makes sense to your own experience, but be as specific as possible in light of the questions asked and of the questions you hope to pursue this term

For this assignment, you can (1) submit an essay
Option 1: Essay
This brief assignment is to be roughly 1,500 words. In it you express your personal thoughts and insights in relation to the ideas above.
Remember to use language and examples to SHOW your reader what they need to know — why you say what you do. Quotes, examples, concrete language, illustrations, and vignettes can all help you do this and are tools you can draw on when you find them appropriate.
Outside sources are not required, but often are helpful.
Be sure to use MLA formatting as your guide for headers, line-spacing, citing sources, etc. A helpful sample paper has been provided below to help you in that goal.
Your essay (and all work submitted in this course unless otherwise instructed), should be saved as a Word file, with your last name included in the file name.
You should then upload your file into the appropriate place in ASSIGNMENTS.
