The fire department emergency services organization (FESO) is experiencing budget shortfalls for several reasons. Inflation, unplanned major repairs/replacement of fire apparatus, and increased pension costs contribute to an anticipated budget shortfall. Your chief has asked all members of the fired department to submit ideas to help the department stay within budget.
Compose a memorandum with your ideas. In your memorandum, lead with your recommendations. You should identify, discuss, and explain your recommendations. Do the recommendations represent financial diversifications, efficiencies, or service cuts? There are many options, so be sure to justify your recommendations.
