Write a paper discussing Darwin Illusion.Step 2: Understand and explain your illusion
Many of the websites provided give explanations of how each illusion works. You will need to understand how the illusion you picked works as well as know how to explain it using your own words. Plagiarism is not acceptable. This section will be a minimum of one full page of text.
Step 3: Find and read at least one related research article
The article MUST be a primary source article. As you know, a primary source is one in which you read the article with the original data — not someone else’s summary of that research (e.g., a book, website, video, etc.). You can use the library website to search. If you’re off campus, go to the Madden library website, log in with your Fresno State login and password, and then do a search on the library’s website for ‘Google Scholar Proxy.’ Once you click on that you’ll be able to get full text access to all articles. This section will be a minimum of one full page of text.
You can use your book as a resource in addition to a primary source article. This means that the book does not count as your primary source article.
Step 4: Write your paper
You must have a title page. Use a title that is your topic – not “Illusory Review.”
Do not include an abstract.
You must have a reference page. (Do not label it “Works Cited.”)
You must have AT LEAST THREE pages of text. This means your paper will have a minimum of FIVE pages, with the title page and reference page. Anything short of three full pages of text will receive a significant point deduction.
You must have five (and only five) labeled subsections to your paper. These sections are:

Illusion Experience– This section is where you will explain your illusion. Be detailed about this. Explain what the illusion is: what happens when someone experiences the illusion. a brief introduction to the topic covered in the podcast or video. Be detailed about this; don’t just write “memory” as a topic. Don’t discuss research on the topic but rather, use this section to introduce your topic.
Illusion Explanation — A descriiption and summary of the perceptual systems involved in the illusion. Explain where the illusion is experienced neurologically and why. Be sure to include if the illusion is top-down or bottom-up processing.
Related Research — A section on relating the content of your illusion to related research. This must include a summary of research from at least one primary-source journal article. In addition, you can also reference our textbook and other secondary sources if you’d like but these do not count as your primary source requirement. This section is to give you an understanding of current research in this area. Do not be shallow about this section. You need to include details, just as if you were summarizing articles in a literature review.
