Throughout this semester, you have learned about the different ways our mind can effect our behavior, from our thoughts, to our feelings, to our actions. Hopefully, week after week, you have opened up your minds and hearts and self-reflected on these topics to better understand yourself and perhaps those around you.
In this last week before our final exam, I though it would be fitting to talk about success. All of you are on a beautiful journey to success, that at times proves to be very stressful, but also extremely worthwhile. Success is something that must be self- defined. If it isn’t, and you decide to live by someone else’s definition of success, then you will not have the same emotional response to it. It must be all about your choices and yours alone. Think about Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs- the top of the pyramid- Self Actualization: reaching your truest potential and being the best version of yourself.
Not everyone will have the same definition of success. Think about your own definition of success. Think about this quote:
“If you fail, learn from it. If you fall, get back up. If it deems impossible, keep going. That is the secret to success.” (Kim Perell)
