Canada’s per capita greenhouse gases emissions are among the highest in the world, higher than China and even the United States.
Climate Action Tracker, an organization that monitors how governments are doing in terms of their policies to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, gives the Canadian government an overall rating of “highly insufficient,” only one category above its worst designation of “critically insufficient.”
