Each teacher candidate is required to gather resources and activities from the
Internet/other sources for teaching content through reading and language/arts in
elementary, depending on his/her certification area. Specific categories
must be addressed in this notebook that includes spelling, comprehension, vocabulary,
fluency, and assessment. Use strategies that cover a range of texts, which include journal entries, memoirs, poetry, fiction, nonfiction, persuasion, narrative, expository, etc.
If you notice, this creator defined the category, then provided several strategies to help students and gave descriiptions of why they are helpful, which skills they promote, and which students it benefits (e.g. high achievers, general ed, dyslexic students, special ed, ELL, etc.).

Make a PowerPoint
First slide: Cover Page
Second Slide: Present and define spelling
Next 3-5 slides: Spelling activities. Explain how it works, link any material needed, and describe which students each one benefits, from and how.
Next Slide: Present and define comprehension.
Next 3-5 slides: Comprehension activities. Explain how it works, link any material needed, and describe which students each one benefits, from and how.
Repeat this for all 5 categories
The last slide needs to be works cited citing all the works you used.
