For this discussion, you will do the following:
Watch this clip, about redlining and block-busting in New York (*trigger: racial language*)
Answer the following questions:
What does it mean that this is happening in the LATE 1970s in New York?
Why are Black residents seen as a threat at that time?
What other neighborhoods/cities had redlining and exclusionary resident practices? List at least 3 cities in the USA (2 or the 3 must be outside of the Bay Area)
Does redlining happen today? If so, how and where? (this may be more covert, but it DOES still happen so please do your research)
