WWI through the Cold War saw extreme change in the United States. Two major trends emerge when looking at this period: changes in American society (with regard to race, class, and gender) and changes in the way the United States interacts with the rest of the world (with regard to WWI, WWII, and the Cold War). Choose ONE of those trends and write a five-paragraph essay in which you examine those changes and their effect on US history and the lives of Americans. As with Essay One, you need to use relevant, specific details and at least one example from the primary sources.
