Using your knowledge of children’s language and literacy development – Design a PREK Classroom Floor plan using a floor plan maker with labels on what each area is.
Write a narrative (5 pages) to accompany the floor plan to describe each learning center, with a major focus on the ways in which language and literacy development is being facilitated.
Be sure to include a brief descriiption of the supplies or equipment that would be necessary to make your room an ideal literacy environment.

Floor plan includes a detailed illustration of the classroom layout, highlighting all areas in which literacy is occurring. The floor plan reflects a clear understanding of how the placement of furniture and materials promote literacy development.
Narrative descriiption of ideal literacy environment clearly explains all areas in which literacy is occurring, including the supplies or equipment that are needed. The descriiption references theoretical foundations, empirical articles, and/or class discussions.
Paper includes a well-thought- out introduction and conclusion with supporting evidence. Paper length is sufficient for fully explaining content (approximately 1500 – 2000 words). At least four references are used throughout the paper and are properly documented on the References page. APA formatting is strictly adhered to. Paper is well organized and does not have typographical, spelling, or grammatical errors.
