McIntosh raises some very serious points about the privileges that accompany being white in the U.S.
First, evaluate the evidence she provides for white privilege and the strategies she proposes for moving away from it. If you are white, identify which parts of her argument resonate with you, and which parts of her argument do not relate to your own experience. If you are a person of color in the U.S., what parts of her argument resonate with your own lived experience, and what else have you learned here?
Secondly, examine the claims put forth by Beverly Daniel Tatum. Do you agree with the distinctions she draws? Explain.
