Week 3- Discussion
COLLAPSE
Population= 15 young adults
15 older adults
Sample n= 30 people in total
Question 1: Do you prefer books or movies?
Question 2: Do you prefer to watch a DVD/VHS or stream movies/ tv shows on Netflix and Hulu?
Question 3: Do you enjoy the use of YouTube or Tik-Tok?
I will begin by conducting my poll in a public mall where there is a better chance of getting an unbiased statistic on the 3 questions to keep it accurate. My poll is specifically designed to show how the growth in technology has truly grown over time comparing two types of adults, younger and older. After testing the sample number, also known as the total number of people which is 30 and taking the population of 15 young adults and the population of 15 older adults. There is a high chance that the young adults will pick movies, Netflix, Hulu and Tik-Tok. There is also a high chance that the older adults will pick books, DVDs/VHS, and YouTube. We do have a 50/50 chance but there could be a few young adults that prefer what we would think only, the older adults would choose. In this case we can weigh out the probability, but it is important to be accurate with our data as well because the results may surprise us. After conducting my research on the population of 30 people I would continue to display my statistical data in a Bar chart which is a visual of two vertical or horizontal bars side by side based off the same given questions. Below is an example of what a Bar chart looks like.

i would like to study how people feel about their jobs. Therefore, the first question I would ask on a survey is whether they feel happy and satisfied. This study is open to everyone if they have a job. For this study I would visit different workplaces and ask people from all positions. The number of people I would study would have to be at least 100 people from various places. The more people that take the survey, the more accurate the results can be. The second question of the survey would be why they are happy or not with their jobs. The third question would be what their dream job is. Furthermore, after asking those questions I would encourage the ones that are not happy to work towards finding their happiness. Finally, I would use a bar graph to represent the results from the survey. The bar graph would have two bars, one for yes and the other for no. The highest bar would show whether there are more happy people or the other way around
